Biltmore
Asheville’s magnificent Biltmore Estate is arguably the finest example of the city’s stunning architecture. A sprawling chateau, the Estate covers 175,000 square feet, and stands on 8,000 acres, making it America's largest private home. In 1964, it was designated a National Historic Landmark; in 2007, it was ranked eighth on the “List of America’s Favorite Architecture” by the American Institute of Architects; and today, it draws in a wide range of visitors both familiar with Asheville’s myriad charms and those new to the area.
One of the factors that makes Biltmore enticing is its convenience. It is centrally located to all of the highlights of Asheville and offers so much on its own that it is the ideal setting for a weekend getaway.
