Asheville is buzzing with activity this month and we want to make sure you know where to find all of the fun. Below is just a short list of popular events happening in downtown Asheville this July. You will want to visit one or more of these gatherings between your brewery visits, shopping excursions, and sightseeing activities. Then after such an eventful day come back and relax poolside at The Residences at Biltmore.

Downtown

Asheville Festival of the Arts

From Saturday July 1st to Sunday July 2nd the Asheville Festival of the Arts will take place at Pack Square Park in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC. This event will bring in both local and national artists, who will display their hand-crafted treasures. From jewelry, apparel, and home décor you are sure to find a piece you adore.

Shindig on the Green

Shindig on the Green has been a gathering place for visitors and locals for over 50 years; making it a staple in the Asheville community. Head out to Pack Square Park on July 1st, 8th, 15th, or 22nd around 7:00pm to enjoy some of North Carolina’s best bluegrass musicians. This free concert is a great way to witness a little bit of our mountain culture.

Asheville Independence Day Celebration

The downtown Asheville Independence Day Celebration will kick off at 2pm at Pack Square Park. There will be activities for children; including a splash fountain to keep everyone cool. A concert will start around 4pm and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase for those who are of age. To close the event there will be a fireworks display at 9:30pm.

Tourists Baseball

Cheer on the Asheville Tourists on the 4th of July as they take on the Charleston Riverdogs. Immediately following the game is great display of fireworks!

Downtown After 5

This month’s Downtown After 5 is all about the musical talents of Asheville. This free concert on North Lexington Avenue will feature music professionals from around the area. You may purchase food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from the different food venders like Moe’s Original BBQ, D.O.G.S., Pisgah Brewing, Sierra Nevada, and many more.

Gran Fondo Asheville

Test your cycling skills during the Gran Fondo Asheville or cheer on your favorite biker from the comfort of New Belgium Brewery. This race begins and ends at New Belgium Brewery and participants can choose to ride 30, 60 or the full 100 miles making it perfect for all levels of the cycling community. There will be aid stations throughout the route to ensure everyone stays safe during the day’s activities. Afterwards, kickback and relax with a cold beer at the brewery!
