Love is in the Air!

Asheville is well-known for its many acclaimed breweries and restaurants, as well as its numerous outdoor opportunities and natural wonders. However, one Asheville feature that doesn’t get nearly as much attention is how romantic this city is! 

Few things are as romantic as strolling through historic gardens hand-in-hand with someone you love, or watching the sun rise or set from one of our high mountain peaks. Nothing compares to walking amidst the beauty of historic structures that once hosted the wealthiest and most famous people in the country, like the Biltmore Estate or the Omni Grove Park Inn. 

We've compiled a list of some Valentine's Day events in Asheville and Biltmore Village, restaurants serving up specials for a romantic rendezvous, and couples' classes and activities. Just a few of the romantic things to do in Asheville for Valentine’s Day are listed below.

Visit Biltmore

As a guest at The Residences at Biltmore, you can purchase tickets to the Estate for two consecutive days for the price of 1 ($55 per ticket). A new exhibit, “A Vanderbilt House Party - The Gilded Age” just opened at the house, featuring re-creations of the clothing of the time period when the estate was host to fabulous parties and famous guests.

If Victorian costumes don’t evoke a sense of romance, other opportunities abound for setting your heart aflutter on the estate’s grounds, like finding that “just right” picnicking spot on the home’s many acres of green space. Other options include wine tasting at the winery, or sharing a romantic dinner at one of the many restaurants on the estate; our concierge will be happy to make a reservation for you at any of them.

Ride the Love Bus

The LaZoom Love Bus brings all the crazy antics the legendary bus tours are known for and pairs them with live music, champagne, treats from French Broad Chocolate Lounge and Poppy Popcorn, and a self-described bizarre comedy act at The Wedge at Foundation. The Love Bus runs for 90 minutes, at 6 and 9 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Seating is limited, so make your reservation soon!

Flex Your Muscles

Asheville Yoga is hosting Valentine's Day Partner Yoga from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. Find out just how flexible your partner really is for $40 per couple. All levels are welcome.

“Clay” Around a Little

Odyssey ClayWorks is offering a Valentine’s Day edition of Ready, Set, Throw with wine, chocolates, and clay, for your own re-creation of that scene in Ghost. It’s $110 per couple and includes glazing.

Beer and Cupcakes

Catawba Brewing Company (32 Banks Avenue) will mix bitter with sweet on February 12, from 7 - 8:30 p.m., with a 4-course beer and Three Eggs Cakery cupcake pairing.

E"sensual" Oil Workshop

Nest Boutique + DIY Studio (Biltmore Village) is hosting a Valentines EssensuOIL Workshop on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Learn what role essential oils play in health and romance. Wine tasting will accompany each oil introduction, and participants will take home a sample oil. $20 per person.

Several restaurants in Asheville are offering Valentine’s Day specials. A few of our favorites include:

Cucina 24 - $65 per person pre-fixe menu with a la carte options.

The Bull and Beggar and The Admiral - Both are offering a $70 per-person four-course menu with an optional wine pairing.

The Corner Kitchen (Biltmore Village) - Serving a special Valentine's Day menu for the evening. 

Jargon - Serving a special 4-course dinner replacing their regular menu for the night.

Vivan - A vintage 6-course meal is on the menu at this River Arts District restaurant for $65 per person.
